Application
Functions For K11 Lathe Chuck:
The K11 three-jaw self-centering chuck is commonly used on CNC and conventional lathes. It is designed to clamp round and hexagonal workpieces with high concentricity. The jaws are driven simultaneously by a scroll mechanism, allowing quick and secure clamping.
Usage For K11 Lathe Chuck:
Installation
Mount the chuck securely on the lathe spindle using the appropriate mounting method.·
Tighten all mounting bolts or locking nuts to ensure a firm connection.
Jaw Setup
Install jaws in numerical order (1–2–3) to ensure proper engagement with the scroll.
Rotate the scroll ring to align the jaw slots, then insert each jaw accordingly.
Clamping Workpieces
Position the workpiece between the jaws.
Turn the chuck key to tighten. The jaws will move together to grip the part evenly.
Confirm that the workpiece is securely clamped before starting the machine.
Precautions For K11 Lathe Chuck:
• Keep the scroll and guides well lubricated to maintain smooth operation.
• Avoid excessive clamping force to prevent damage to the jaws and internal mechanism.
• Do not run the machine at high speed without a load to avoid imbalance.
• Periodically check runout and overall chuck condition. Replace worn parts if necessary.
• Always clean chips and debris from the chuck after use to prevent wear and jamming.
Follow the correct jaw installation sequence. Improper assembly will affect concentricity.
